From the immediate and overwhelming response to the last concert announcement, we see that you have a healthy appetite for live music! If you missed out in April – or if you witnessed Aura bringing down the packed house and want more - you’ll be glad to know that we’re bringing you more live music over the coming months, starting with two spectacular acts in May:

On Friday May 10th we are pleased to present an amazing little prodigy with a voice that belies her tender age. 11-year-old singer Mackenzie Arromba has talent to spare and will astound you with her performance of classical and jazz favourites. She has performed with some of Canada’s top jazz musicians, and will be accompanied this night by venerated pianist Bruce Harvey. It’s close to Mother’s Day – why not make it a Mother’s Night Out? Remember that time you made Mom proud? Well this show will take her right back to that moment of motherly pride, and make YOU the star for treating her to a terrific dinner concert!

On Friday May 17th, local darling and acclaimed fiddler/composer/singer-songwriter/producer Anne Lindsay will enchant the dining room with her incredibly versatile playing and eclectic repertoire, bending genres from jazz, rock, country and classical to Celtic, Cajun and Klezmer. With three award-winning CDs of her own, Anne has composed for film scores and TV commercials, stage productions (Lord of the Rings), CDs, and radio, and performed and recorded with major artists like Blue Rodeo, The Chieftans, Led Zeppelin and Dionne Warwick, to name a few. Her credentials are too many to list – check Anne’s website for her full story. Get ready to stomp your feet and clap your hands with this lively and entertaining performance! Anne will be accompanied by accomplished bassist Charles James.

Each evening includes an engaging performance and a four-course meal: soup, salad, entrée and dessert, all for only $50 per person*.
